Seeking Town Supervisor

As many of you know, our Town Chairman, Bob Platteter, passed away suddenly on October 20, 2026. Bob was an outstanding community member and will be greatly missed.  Please keep his family in your thoughts.

Under law, the remaining town board members and clerk were required to appoint a replacement to fill out the remaining portion of Bob's term (til April of 2027) as soon as practicable.  At a Special Meeting held on October 28th, Tom Lettner was appointed Town Chairperson.

Tom's appointment to chairperson leaves a vacancy in the office of town supervisor.  That office will be filled by appointment by the remaining town board members and the clerk on November 4, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.  Adult residents of the Town of Milton who are interested in serving in this role should submit a letter (or email) of interest for the position, which includes their qualifications or reasons for wanting to serve in the position, to the Town Clerk, Kalene Engel, no later than November 3, 2026 at 8:00 p.m.
